New pilot boats for Turkish Straits

One of the 3 pilot boats being built by Halic Shipyard for Turkish Maritime Incorporated (TDI), has met with water yesterday and already successed at the first sea trial. The sea trials for other two will follow next week. The boat is 14,5 metres in length and has 4,2 metres beam width.


New pilot boats for Turkish Straits from TDI

One of the 3 pilot boats being built by Halic Shipyard for Turkish Maritime Incorporated (TDI), has met with water yesterday and already successed at the first sea trial.

The sea trials for other two will follow next week.

The boat is 14,5 metres in length and has 4,2 metres beam width. The powerful 2 engines provide 550 HP each which give the aluminium-plated boat 25 Knots service speed.

The boat is equipped with the latest technology instruments.
