Press Roundup
Thursday, 12.31.2009, 10:00pm (GMT)

Lava continues to flow from the crater of the Mayon
volcano as viewed from Lignon Hill in Legazpi, Albay province,
about 500 kilometers southeast of Manila. About 50,000
residents living around the extended eight-kilometer danger zone of the country’s most active volcano are now housed in various evacuation centers due to its continued activity since Dec. 14.
